This is a suite of short simple classical guitar solos that were composed to be used as incidental music for an audio book—a dramatic reading of a Medieval story read in Medieval German. As some of the movement titles suggest, the music's character is inspired by characters or situations in the story. Similarly, although no attempt was made to actually compose stylistically appropriate Medieval music, the modal flavors used in these pieces help give them a somewhat ancient-feeling, or ambiance.
